Harry Potter and the Old Ones - Chapter 669
“How are you doing?” Ron asked Harry hastily after class, “I feel like I felt something the last time… um… I felt a little tingling in my foot. “
“I think your sneakers are too small, um, hahaha.” A voice came from behind them, and Hermione walked over with her head held high and said happily.
“I don’t feel anything,” Harry said, ignoring Hermione’s sneer, “but I don’t care about that right now…”
“What do you mean, you don’t care… don’t you want to pass the Apparition exam?” said Ron puzzled.
“I don’t really care, I prefer to fly,” said Harry. “I’m… ugh… I’m still worried about Occlumency…”
“Don’t worry, Harry,” Hermione reassured. “You can definitely learn.”
“Yeah, Harry, don’t worry, Tierra will protect you even if you can’t learn it,” Ron comforted.
“Ron!” Hermione exclaimed, “You can’t make Harry think like that all the time! Harry has to learn to be on his own too!”
“Um…” Harry replied listlessly.
“Now hoping to find Professor Dumbledore… see if he has time to teach me Occlumency…” Harry said.
Harry said so, but he didn’t hold out much hope.
Dumbledore hasn’t made many public appearances at Hogwarts all month since his appearance at Christmas dinner.
Whether it was at the dinner after Christmas, or other important occasions, Professor McGonagall or Tiera attended instead of Dumbledore.
This made Harry, Hermione, and Ron almost wonder if Dumbledore was dying of illness, or was under house arrest by Tierra.
However, this assumption was quickly dispelled, because several times, Harry came out of Snape’s Occlumency class on Saturday night, or Hermione stayed in the library until late in the dormitory. When the time came, Dumbledore would always come out of the kitchen, or a house-elf would bring dessert into Dumbledore’s headmaster’s office.
Apparently, Dumbledore was alive and well, and in Hermione’s words it was like an early retirement.
There was little change in the weather from February to March, except for the wet and dark clouds that were replaced by violent and cold winds.
A message posted on the bulletin boards in all the lounges aroused everyone’s dissatisfaction—
Next week’s trip to Hogsmeade has been cancelled.
The sudden news made Ron very grumpy.
“It’s my birthday!” Ron said with great disappointment. “I, I’ve been looking forward to that day. Mom and Dad said that they would come back to Hogsmeade Village to celebrate my birthday with me!”
“That’s something that can’t be helped.” Harry shrugged helplessly and said, “I don’t know why, but the situation has suddenly become tense again.”
To be precise, since Voldemort escaped from prison last summer and the International Magic Alliance attacked the British Magic Federation, the entire magical world has declared a wartime state.
However, this so-called wartime state only made everyone nervous for a short while, and then the sense of crisis was diluted without a trace under the various benefits policies introduced by Tiera.
But now the curfew, Auror inspections, non-essential no-shows, cancellation of all concerts and tours and other policies have been reintroduced and required to be strictly enforced, giving people a feeling of dark clouds and imminent danger.
“The International Magic Federation is going to hold a general election recently.” Hermione was well informed as always, “I heard that this year’s three candidates are clamoring for another huge magical ceremony to resist Tierra’s tyranny.”
“Hey—” Hermione sneered, “It’s just useless work.”
“Looks like all we can look forward to now is Apparition!” said Ron grumpily. “Big birthday celebration…”
Having taken the class three times, Apparition proved to be harder than the previous classes, although a few more people had successfully separated a part of their body from themselves. The frustration was getting higher and higher, and quite a few people started to hate Taurkoros and his three ds. They thought of a pair of nicknames for him, the most polite one being dog-breathanddung-head. ).
“Happy birthday, Ron!” When they woke up on the first morning of March—
Harry said, “Here! Your birthday present.”
He left the package in a small pile of gifts on Ron’s bed, which Harry guessed had been delivered by house-elves during the night.
“Thank you!” Ron said lazily.
“Awesome, Harry!” said Ron excitedly, waving a new pair of Quidditch gloves Harry had given him.
“No thanks.” Harry smiled.
Ron didn’t answer. He was busy unpacking gifts, and from time to time he let out a cheerful cheer.
“Seriously, this year’s harvest is really good!” Ron announced with a heavy gold watch, the dial was a circle of odd-numbered symbols, and the hands were moving little stars—
“Look, Harry, look at what Mom and Dad gave me? Ah, I think I’ll be old next year.” Ron roared happily.
“Cool.” Harry was also interested, and began to stare at Ron’s strange watch.
“Want one?” said Ron, holding a box of Chocolate Frogs.
“No need,” Harry refused. “We’re going to have breakfast soon…I don’t want to eat too much and throw up in class.”
Their first class this morning was still Apparating, and in the previous Apparition class, there had been people who ate too much and spit it out.
“Okay?” Harry said to Ron when he was ready, but it wasn’t until he was halfway there that Ron was still on the bed, holding onto the bedpost and staring at him with an unfamiliar, unfocused look. Window washed by rain.
“Ron? Breakfast!” Harry continued.
“I’m not hungry……”
“Ah…” Harry stared at Ron strangely, “I think you just said—?”
“Okay, I’ll go down with you,” said Ron. “But I don’t want to eat…I don’t want to eat anything…”
Harry looked at him suspiciously.
“Because you just ate half a box of Chocolate Frogs?”
“Not this, you…you won’t understand.”
“Extremely clear,” Harry said, and, suspiciously, he opened the door.
“Harry!” said Ron suddenly.
“What’s wrong?”
“I can not stand it any more!”
“What can’t you take?” Harry asked, beginning to feel terrified—
Ron’s face was pale, as if he was about to vomit at any moment. UU Reading www.uukanshu.com
“I can’t stop thinking about her!” Ron said harshly.
Harry yawned. He didn’t expect this and he didn’t expect to hear this.
Although they were friends, if Ron started to change his name to Lavender, “LaVine-LaVine” he would have to firmly oppose and put a Silence Charm on him.
“Why didn’t you have breakfast because of that?” Harry asked, trying to make the conversation more normal.
“I don’t think she knows I exist,” said Ron desperately.
“I want him to know that you’ve been hugging and kissing for three months.” Harry began to grow impatient.
Ron blinked and said suspiciously, “Who are you talking about?”
